On Thursday, March 6, 2008 the Department of Public Works, Water Division performed a water repair on Rockwood Road due to a water break.
To complete the repair it was necessary to shut down the water main in the area of Rockwood Road (#74 to #98), Ferndale Avenue, Fleetwood Drive, Stacey Road and Overlea Road. Repairs will be made as quickly as possible to allow for restored water service to this area.
Please Remember - Residents who experience rusty or dirty water should do the following:
1. Flush water piping using COLD WATER ONLY from a bath tub faucet for approximately 15 minutes, then all other cold water fixtures in the house for 5 minutes.
2. Check water before washing clothes.
3. Check water prior to running dish washer
4. Check water before using for cooking
5. If WHITE clothes become discolored, “Iron Out” is available at the local hardware store and at the DPW Office between the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Please contact the Department of Public Works office at 508-528-4990.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter.
