What's up at Norfolk Recreation for Pre-schoolers this Fall?
Kids in the Kitchen - Thursdays (10-11:30AM) is wonderful for those children that love to help in the kitchen. Kids will get a chance to measure, mix and be involved in making their own special culinary delight. Recipes vary each week. Classes start this Thursday, September 18 and run for 5 weeks. The fee is $79.
Pre-School Science Fun starts off with a 4-week session this Monday, September 22. Does your child love to know how things work, experiments and talking about what-ifs? This is a fun, hands-on class that will be non-stop. Topics will vary from fossils to space! And, of course everything is safe. Join us for 4 weeks for $59.
Practicing Pre-School: Does your child want to go to school like the big kids? Or maybe your child just missed the cut off date for year? In this 1.5 hour class, a pre-school curriculum is followed, but adjusted for the age. Kids will do crafts, enjoy stories, and participate in fine and gross motor play (outside if weather is permitting). This is a great opportunity for kids to learn social skills while enjoying being with others. This class is taught by two caring and professional pre-school teachers. Wondering if it's right for your child? The first session is 4 weeks with an introductory price of $49. We run this class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, your choice.
Yoga Stretches, Giggles and Wiggles - Kids will have lots of fun as they learn how to stretch and balance in a class that lets them get their wiggles out. Join us for session 2 starting Wednesday, Oct. 29. ... We also have an After-School Yoga class for K-3 starting October 29.
We also have some some availability in Sports n' More, T-Ball and 1,2,3 Get Ready for Pre-School, and Jumping Gym!
Would you like a Thursday class of Sticky Fingers? We are currently full in our Friday classes through December. We have time on Thursday mornings at 9AM. Let us know if you are interested and, if we have enough interested (6), we will run the class.
