Norfolk Youth Basketball Registration deadline November 5!
This basketball program is about having fun while learning the game from trained coaches and being part of a team. Professional coaches including Sean McInnis and Colleen Hill will be there every week along with special invited guest coaches too!
Our philosophy is to teach youth basketball players the FUNdamentals of the game in a caring and fun manner with trained, professional coaches. Each year, the boys and girls improve in their skills and the program changes to accommodate their skill level. For the older kids; this includes 2 games with licensed officials. We prepare those players who wish to advance to a higher level for "Travel" or "Middle School" basketball and give them an excellent foundation and experience to enjoy the game at any level. Boys and girls play on separate teams. Individual skill training is also available.
You do not have to attend a Norfolk Public school to be eligible for Norfolk Youth Basketball. Everyone is invited.Dues are $115 for grades K-2 and $135 for grades 3-6 and include a reversible jersey and shorts. The K-2 Boys and Girls also get their own basketball.
Don't miss out! We need everyone to register now so we can put together teams and order uniforms. Current registrations numbers are above 175, but we be sure everyone who wants to join, does!
Saturday Dates: Dec. 1, 8, 15, Jan. 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb. 2, and reserve Feb. 9 for an end-of- the-season pizza party with raffles and lots of fun. Saturdays will be at the KP Junior High.Monday and Thursday evenings are at Freeman Centennial School in Norfolk (January 24 and 31 will be at HO Day School).
Playing times are:
Girls Kindergarten: Saturdays 8:30-9:30 AM
Girls1st Grade: Saturdays 9:30-10:30AM
Girls 2nd Grade: Saturdays 10:30-11:30AM
Girls 3rd/4th Grades: Saturdays 11:30-12:30 PM and Monday evenings for practice at F/C School from 6:00-6:45 PM
Girls 5th/6th Grades: Saturdays 12:30-1:30 PM and Monday evenings at for practice F/C from 7-7:45 PM.
