Meeting minutes 7/13/09 8pm

1) 43D program/grant application – Pam McCarthy, from theInteragency Board (IB), reported the IB reviewed our application on 7/8 and recommendedthat the application be resubmitted by mid to late July, as two separateapplications with amended consultant proposals per Mass Developmentrecommendations are needed. The next IB meeting is in August.
2) 43Dchecklist/application – Bob Bullock has repackaged the 43D checklist and applications. He is scheduling a new review meeting for Sept with the DRCC.Also need update for a time frame to test consolidated application for 43D checklist/application process.
3) Marketing Norfolk – Bob Nicodemus attended the ICSC meeting last week handing out sample marketing info about Norfolk’s economic development created by Mark. Feed back from participants was to add additional property info and demographics. Once a marketing package is put together it will be presented to the Planning Board and Board of Selectman for approval.
4) EDC website - Mark Nelson has gathered marketing info samples. Reviewed information presentation for the web posting. The following tasks will need to be researched/written for review at the next meeting 1)purpose (Walter), 2) strategy for promoting development sites (Bob), 3)specific parcels-development areas available (Bob), 4) a point of contact(Lori) 5) how to respond to inquires (Lori), 6) present web data to Bos/PB (Mark).
5) Biotech use for C6 – Mass Biotech Council (MBC) would contact Bob Bullock regarding biotech use in C6 district. To date Bob has not been contacted. Mark to follow up.
6) Discussed how Norfolk EDC should facilitate informationdistribution to the MBC, Mass Development, MAPC, Mass Gov ED listings,etc. Need to evaluate options andmethods of dissemination for next meeting.
