EDC meeting minutes 3/9/09 8pm

Item 1: Minutesfrom 2/23/09 accepted and will be posted on the web tomorrow.
Minutes from 1/8 and 1/21 accepted and will be posted to theweb tomorrow.
Item 2: Meetingminutes – Mr. Nicodemus asked how would we communicate to the otherboards/committees that the EDC meeting minutes are available. Mr. Byronsuggested sending a notification email, not the minutes, to the board/committeechairs and their administration that the EDC minutes have been posted. If norep has been identified, request identification.
All agreed to approve EDC minutes at our following meetings.
Item 3: BiotechWarrant Article presentation given by Mr. Nicodemus and Mr. Nelson on 2/26 waswell received by the PB. Will move to AB.
Item 4:Business/Commercial District Maps for website – Mr. Nicodemus wanted to knowwhat the EDC could do to add a map of the business/commercial areas.
Mr. Nelson inquired about which districts would be shown. Hesuggested we add descriptions and photos to the website without incurring costto the town. Ms Scholl to inquire about the size of pics that could be posted.
Mr Bryon suggested a packet with brochures describingavailable properties.
EDC web content and appearance to be further discussed infuture meetings.
Item 5: Expeditedpermitting – Mr. Nicodemus handed out a draft agenda sent to Mr. Bullock andTown Administrator for their consideration. Discussed agenda as to whether itwas complete and who would be the most appropriate to present it to theMulti-Group meeting on 3/17. DPW would be the best to present the waste andstorm water district. Will discuss further with TA. 3/17 Multi-group meetingwill be held at the library at 8:30pm.
Mr. Nicodemus, priority item in regard to Southwood to bestarted is the feasibility study of the sewer line and storm water connectingwith MWRA to be accomplished by SEA consultants in support of possible‘stimulus funding’. Mr. Nicodemus to contact TA to get this study started.
Item 7: Discussed the Sharon EDCpresentation attended by Norfolk EDC on 3/4/09.
Item 9: discussedmeeting dates for April
Item 10 – newbusiness – Mr. Nelson suggested contacting the State reps to start a dialog onwhat Norfolk could do to promote the available commercial sites in Norfolk andobtaining stimulus funding.
Mr. Nicodemus contacted MAPC, Mark Racicot to inquire aboutwhat other towns are doing.
