Board of Selectmen meetings are generally held on the first and third Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Room 124 of the Town Hall.  Meetings are open to the public and are usually televised on Norfolk Cable Television. Anyone interested in speaking or addressing the Board at a meeting should call the Selectmen's office at 508-440-2855 to be scheduled.

The Town Administrator's Office is also located within the Board of Selectmen's Office on the 2nd Floor of Town Hall.

The Board of Selectmen are the town's Chief Elected Officials. The Board's formal, legal responsibilities are scattered through hundreds of statutes and in the town's bylaws and special acts of the legislature. They have general supervision over all town government matters not specifically delegated by law or vote of the Town Meeting to another officer or board.

In particular, the Board of Selectmen exercise the authority to call town elections and to prepare the warrant for town meetings. The Selectmen make appointments to various municipal boards and committees and appoint the Town Administrator and Town Counsel. They grant a variety of licenses and permits and sign warrants for the payment of all town bills.
