1 Liberty Lane
Norfolk, Massachusetts 02056
In Attendance: Joe Sebastiano, William Crump, Jim Leonard, Chief Stone, Butch Vito, BOS-Ramesh Advani
Meeting was scheduled for 4/27 after an earlier conflict affected us meeting on 4/11 in April (which we canceled).
An RSC Presentation for Town Meeting will be completed (via some additional work that Bill, Joe and Butch) will do on Sunday 5/1. Best aligning the priority links in the plan to the $50K/year stabilization funding proposed, plus any additional funds future new development is anticipated to contribute. Presentation will include/address discussion points raised by many of those in attendance that address typical positives and negatives on the subject. We plan to have a handout for TM supporting the article.
A meeting with Recreation Commission informing them of the upcoming TM article to fund new pedestrian pathways went well. Received similar positive feedback from local school committee and NCL members (but no official voted position available at this time). An upcoming NCL newsletter that should come out prior to TM may also have info regarding the upcoming TM article to fund new pedestrian pathways.
Community Day plans include having the RSC collocate with PD, DARE and others as it had in the past to share 2 or 3 tables, plus this year: park one of the new cruisers close by, sell or giveaway any available helmets (Joe to send Chief Stone info on “helmets R us”), and the possibility of Mario and Chief being able to secure a “rollover” demonstrator for a few hours that day. Via Joe the Lion’s are aware of our plans.
The Roundabout Brochures developed earlier by PD, RSC, others have indeed been delivered to homes.
Bill has data for Butch related to proposed street light locations along Boardman. Joe still needs to complete acquiring pole numbers vs. balance of new lights proposed/listed.
Next RSC meeting originally scheduled for 5/11 is now changed and posted to Wed 5/25 at 7:30PM to accommodate TM dates of 5/10, 5/11.
