Superintendent of Public Works
Town of Norfolk
The Town of Norfolk (population 9,454) is seeking a full-time Superintendent of Public Works to perform highly responsible administrative and supervisory work in overseeing the daily operations of the highway, water, solid waste, grounds maintenance and vehicle maintenance divisions.
The candidate must possess an associates degree in civil engineering or related field; five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal public works construction and water systems management, including two (2) years in a supervisory/management capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of public works methods and techniques and strong verbal and oral communication skills.
Requirements include a 2D Full and 1T Full Drinking Water Operators Licenses issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure, a valid CDL Class B Massachusetts driver’s license and hoisting license, an engineering background is preferred.
