FIRE EXERCISE: MYRTLE STREET
Beginning Monday, June 16, 2008 through Thursday, June 19, 2008 the Norfolk Fire Department, will be performing fire exercises at #97 Myrtle Street between the hours of 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
In the event that you experience dirty water during this exercise please remember the following:
Residents who experience rusty or dirty water should do the following:
1. Flush water piping using COLD WATER ONLY from a bath tub faucet for approximately 15 minutes, then all other cold water fixtures in the house for 5 minutes.
2. Check water before washing clothes.
3. Check water prior to running dish washer
4. Check water before using for cooking
5. If WHITE clothes become discolored, “Iron Out” is available at the local hardware store and at the DPW Office between the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
