Fall Street Norfolk Today
The Town of Norfolk is a semi-rural suburban community located on an upper valley of the Charles River. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, Norfolk has 10,460 residents in 2,818 households.

The town is governed through a Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator and Open Town Meeting as well as other Boards and Committees.

 

Norfolk History
Although first settled in 1669, Norfolk was not incorporated as a town until 1870, when it broke away from Wrentham and other surrounding communities.

Norfolk Services
For a relatively small town, Norfolk has some robust municipal services available to residents. Norfolk has its own K-6 Schools and is one of three towns participating in the King Philip Regional School District. The town has its own Police, Fire, and Water departments, as well as a growing Library. Click here to access all town departments. The town of Norfolk now also offers many services online.
