Microchip Day
The Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association in conjunction with the State of Massachusetts Animal Response Team, the Animal Control Officers Association of Massachusetts, the Medical Reserve Corp, the Animal Rescue League of Boston, and the Intervet/Home Again Company will be sponsoring a state-wide microchipping day  Saturday, September 25th 2010. Intervet is donating the microchips to help promote emergency and disaster preparedness awareness. Pet owners are responsible for a one-time chip registration fee of $20. Animal Control Officer Hillary Cohen and Norfolk resident Ilene Segal, DVM will be microchipping cats and dogs at the Norfolk Police Station from 11:30 to 2:00. Pre-registration for an appointment is required for this event, and can be done on-line at www.massvet.org. Click on "Pet Owners" to access the form and payment information.
